CAL RIPKEN AROO'S UPDATE NUMBER 3

After having a free morning, the Aussies played another local side, the Forest Hill Force at Ripken Fields. In hot and humid conditions, the Aussies dominated through pitching to record their second win in two days with an 11-1 win. The pitchers in Mazzacato, Bright, Young and Warner combined to limit the opposition to just 1 run late in the game and even it was unearned.

The ARoo's 11 runs were a combination of hits, some errors by the locals but backed up the theory that if you hit the ball in play at the right time, runs will come.  The boys looked a little tired but that is a common reaction to the travel at this point in time. The win completes the pre tournament schedule and with official functions starting Thursday and Friday, the team's next game will be its first World Series fixture on Saturday at 6 p.m. against Canada.

All teams are now in Aberdeen and the action is set to hot up.
