A LONGER-than-scheduled match at the Women’s Baseball World Cup in Venezuela has saved Sunbury teenager Bronwyn Gell from potentially being in the way of a stray bullet.
Bronwyn, 17, who is representing Australia in the tournament, would have been on the field at a military base in Caracas fielding in the same position where a Hong Kong player was hit by the bullet if the Hong Kong-Netherlands clash had not gone to an extra inning.
