2007 AUSTRALIAN WOMEN'S PROGRAM

Australian women are a force to be reckoned with in international baseball. This we know already from a string of impressive performances on the world stage in recent years.

However after a heartbreaking near miss of the Bronze medal at the 2006 World Cup in Taiwan , the Women’s squad is now searching for a little something extra.

As such, with 2007 representing a break from international competition, a 30-strong target squad has been chosen to undergo an intensive domestic training camp later this year.

The camp will be designed to further enhance the National Women’s program – with a specific focus given to implementing some key initiatives that have proven successful with the men’s Olympic team in recent years.

With an eye to success in marquee International events, these players will use the camp as a springboard to their continued development – and with any luck, a Gold Medal at the 2008 World Cup.
