Venues:
Two stadiums will be used - Taipei City, Tien-Mou Stadium (Official Stadium) and Taipei County Shinchuan Stadium (Training / Back up Stadium)
Reporting Date:
All teams arrive in Taipei on 29 July 2006.
Opening Ceremony:
The Opening Ceremony will be held on 31 July 2006 starting at 18:00 hours at Taipei City's Tien-Mou Stadium followed by the Opening Game at 18:30 hours (Chinese Taipei vs Japan).
Closing / Awards Ceremony:
To be held immediately after the final game on 6 August 2006 at Taipei City's Tien-Mou Stadium.
Meetings Schedule:
A pre-tournament Technical and Organisational meeting will be held on 30 July 2006 at 22:00 hours at the Santos Hotel.
An Umpires' meeting will be held on 30 July 2006 at 22:00 hours at the Santos Hotel.
A pre-tournament press conference will be held 30 July 2006 at 14:00 hours at the Santos Hotel. Managers of each participating team are to be present for interview.
Competition Rules:
The tournament rules will be played according to the 2006 Official Baseball Rules sent out by IBAF. 7-inning games will be played.
Baseball Bats:
According to IBAF regulations, Aluminium bats will be used in this tournament.
Official Ball:
The official ball will be the Mizuno MB-200 provided by IBAF.
