Essendon Baseball Club, Victoria

Established in 1893, Essendon Baseball Club is a diverse, vibrant and active club, underpinned by a strong volunteer and supporter base. The club has a strong focus on creating a fun, family friendly and welcoming environment and is one of the strongest and most proactive baseball clubs in Victoria. 

Winners of the 2013/14 Victorian Summer Baseball League Division 1 Premiership for the 3rd year in a row, they have had success at many levels in their summer and winter competitions. Winners of the Australian Masters Championships, as well as the winner of the Baseball Victoria Club Champions Award. Essendon Baseball Club also boasts an Australian team member, as well as college and professional signed players.

They were also short listed for the state government community sport and recreation award to become one of the top five sporting clubs in Victoria, becoming the first ever baseball club to be considered for this award.

The club has also secured sponsorship, including two facility development opportunities and will begin construction of a Chris Lane memorial field. 

Baulkham Hills Baseball Club, New South Wales

A highly motivated club, their success can be attributed to a strategic business plan designed to strengthen all divisions of the club. Baulkham Hills Baseball is unique in that it is operated as a single entity that encompasses four divisions and is the only state league club in the NSW competition operated in this fashion.

Last year the club finished the year making the grand finals with all teams, with three of them going on to be premiers.

The club consistently participates in the Hills Association live ball competitions, TBall and Mod Ball competitions, as well as conduct their own in house program focused on skill development for Under 6’s. They have also provided a senior and junior team in the Koala League, a competition for children with disabilities, as well as run a separate skills program for these teams.

The club also has numerous players from their club representing New South Wales State teams, as well as the Sydney Blue Sox and National teams. Baulkham Hills Baseball Club also continues to increase female participation, and now has two sides in the NSW Women’s competition.  

Plumpton Braves Baseball Club, New South Wales

Plumpton Braves Baseball Club in New South Wales has had a very successful year both on the baseball diamond and in the community.

The club has implemented a community based Tee Ball program for all clubs and associations to use, which has helped introduce new children to T-Ball and the sport of baseball.

Heavily involved with the Sydney Blue Sox, including game day responsibilities, stadium maintenance and local promotional events. During the 2014 Under 16 National Youth Championships, Plumpton Braves organized all the food for the players and officials. In addition to running the canteen, and being responsible for the field maintenance and operational services.

The club has also recently secured government funding for new facility development, including new playing facilities at their grounds.
